Hill Aerospace Museum

 

Whether it is the weather that has altered your plans, or you find a little extra time on your hands this holiday weekend, here are a few suggestions of what to do this Memorial Day weekend.

The Hill Aerospace Museum has thousands of historical Air Force artifacts and dozens of aircraft on display. including the days of the Wright brothers, the Second World War, the Cold War, as well as modern aircraft of the 21st century. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. Open year round, Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. Admission is free.  The museum is located on the northwest corner of Hill Air Force Base at 7961 Cottonwood Street.

Honor & Remember: Operation Hero Memorial Day Boot Display honors Utah’s fallen service members through the Memorial Day Boot Display. Each of the 313 boots represents a Utah Service Member who died while in uniform since 9/11/2001. Many of the boots have been personalized by the service members' families. Information booths, silent auction and opportunity drawings are also available, with the proceeds benefitting the families of the fallen. This event is free and is being held at the Ogden Union Station at 2501 Wall Avenue in Ogden, Utah. May 24th through May 27th, 2024, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

 

Salt Lake Bees Military Appreciation Night 

Salt Lake Bees have a special offer for Military Members and Veterans. On Saturday, May 25th. stop by the Bees Box office to show a valid Military or Veterans ID to receive 2 free tickets and 50% off for up to 6 additional tickets. Game starts at 6:30 pm, stay for the patriotic fireworks show after the game.
